Second on the SCS top 3 list is PageGraphicsListAdBoss™ (PGLAB). It has had 300% increase in revenue so far this year. Where PGL dummies are published (usually based on Layout-8000 output data), PGLAB turns this distribution into a web-based self-service. The presentation of dummies is customized to the user or his/her department. Approval-based workflow is improved.
SCS's FotoWare reseller business is also up by 200%. Part of the innovation here is that many new SCS customers for FotoWare are non-newspapers. (Newspapers are SCS's traditional customers.) We now have new FotoWare deployments at the Ford Foundation, Lubrizol, The White House Historical Association and others.
The key take-away is that innovation often features invention, but what is necessary includes doing something new and being well paid for it. The new revenue from these three SCS innovations alone would make a good profitable small business.
