Executive Team
Kurt is the Owner and Managing Member of SCS. Kurt began working at SCS in 1993 after working for two years with INSI in their advertising systems division. Prior to that, Kurt worked with Ingersoll Publications at various sites in both the systems area and circulation.
Kurt's first assignment at SCS was to develop and deploy a Circulation System for SCS's ever growing product line. This was completed and deployed in 1994 at the Albany Herald in Albany, Georgia. Since 1994, Kurt has been responsible for the delivery of all SCS contracts and customer satisfaction, as well as day to day staff operations. Over the years Kurt has been heavily involved in International sales and is responsible for our 3rd party vendor relations. Phil has been with SCS since 2002, when he accepted a role on the sales team after graduating from DeSales University with a degree in Management of Information Technology and Marketing. He was named Director of Sales in 2006 and was promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2022. Phil is responsible for newspaper systems sales at SCS.

Walt joined SCS in 2022 as the company's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining SCS, Walt was CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance & Administration at Civitas Media and was a Group Publisher and Regional Director at both Gatehouse Media and Gannett.
